Product Manager Pipes
To manage the overall “product management” and business development function of the Pipes product line with focus on sustained and profitable growth of the product focused on maximising business value.
The Product Manager is responsible for ensuring that new product introduced into local and global markets are successful and have longterm viability. To ensure this success the product manager is to identify key local and global markets that are ideal for product penetration. He then oversee the entire product introduction process from identifying key products that meet consumers\' needs in a particular market to making any revisions after a product or service is introduced. Other responsibilities include monitoring market trends tracking competitors\' products and putting strategies in place to promote the growth of certain products.
The Product Manager is responsible for product planning business development and marketing. This includes managing the product throughout the product lifecycle gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements defining the product vision and working closely with production to deliver winning products. Moreover the product manager will be in full charge of getting the product approved and specified for targeted projects. Therefore the Product Manager will be working closely and deliberately with 3 different groups Project Owners i.e. ministries and gov. entities Project Engineering Consultants and Contractors. The product manager will be responsible to get the products approved and registered with all parties involved in the selling cycle mentioned above.
As a key success factor the product manager must possess an indepth knowledge of project products registration approval and prequalification cycles with project owners engineering consultants and contractors.
The job also includes providing technical support to the sales engineers team throughout the selling cycle. i.e. prepare technical prequalification materials present product and materials to parties involved in the selling cycle.
He should gain a deep understanding of alternative competitive products i.e. clay pipes customer experience identify and fill product gaps and generate value messaging and positioning that grow market share improve customer experience and drive growth and profitability.
On the other hand the product manager will be spending considerable time in the market with stakeholders to monitor projects offering in the market at initial and early stages. He will be in charge of providing needed support to engineering consultants during initial phases and prebidding phase. In addition to approach projects owners and initiate and monitor the awareness creation and approval process.
In addition the product manager will be communicating with all areas of the company sales production technical team supply chain. He will be working with sales eng.’s to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met. He will also coordinate with production to assure delivery schedules are met.
The Product Manager will be in charge of ensuring that the product business development and sales efforts support the company’s overall product strategy and goals.
Skills Solid experience and proven track record in registering qualifying and approving products with engineering consultants contractors and project owners.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the Saudi market as a Product Manager in any industry that sells to the same market and follow the same cycle.
Proven ability to develop product and marketing strategies and effectively communicate recommendations to executive management
Proven track record of managing all aspects of a successful product throughout its life cycle.
Demonstrated success defining and launching excellent products must provide sample of an effective document delivered in the past
Proven ability to work effectively and influence crossfunctional teams without formal authority
Project management skills
Must be able to travel 30 of the time This position requires travel to customer and noncustomer sites
