Supervise and carry out Mechanicaloperations amp maintenance activities for various rotating equipment in thewater plants to ensure uninterrupted production and that operations are carriedout in the most efficient and effective manner.
This role operates under the directionof the Supervisor Mechanical. The job holder is accountable for the operationand maintenance overhaul of variousequipment in the water plant.
As a result of the jobholder’smechanical skills he is sometimes called by other departments for technicalassistance on mechanical issues.
Key Accountabilities
Carry out and supervise mechanical maintenance and repair activities for various equipments and spare parts within the plant to maximize machine availability.Prepare work procedure of mechanical and repair activities ensuring the optimum allocation of resources so that operational targets are met.Determines required equipment maintenance method applying knowledge of best useful updated techniques. Ensure that correct quantities of materials are used to formulate overhaul repair works so that maintenance activities proceed in a controlled manner.Monitor the quality of repairedfinished products so that any production deviations are identified and corrected as soon as possible. Close the work order once the job is completed.Organise and supervise the activities and work of a small team of subordinates to ensure that all work within a specific area of operations amp maintenance activity is carried out in an efficient and procedurally compliant manner.Communicate the requirement of operational procedures and instructions to subordinates and monitor their adherence so that work is carried out in a controlled manner.

SkillsMinimum Qualifications
•Technical Mechanical Engineering Diploma.
Minimum Experience
•5 7 years experience of Mechanical operations maintenance within a large industrial or utilities organization.
